Latency, lags in vga mode or whatever.

Post by Paffy »

I bought mv 8800. I bought converter which converts from 250V-50Hz to 110v 50w
So I get into my mv, with vga mode, and i see software with lags,
not freezing but for example i play beat, it records not 100% how i play it
real time. When i set 2meas or whatever and i record after count in,
its not always playing when i hit pad, sometimes it plays real time, but does not record my note.
Maybe you know any reason? How i can slove it ?

Try removing the convertor (transformer). You won't need the convertor since the MV8800 can adjust to any voltage. You'll just need to change the power cord end to be able to plug it into the different power outlets.
I bought my MV8000 in NY and used it in England, Germany and Qatar with no transformer or problems.

What is the difference between vga and dvi-d? I am trying to hook up my macbook pro to an LG monitor. It has both vga and dvi inputs. Is one of them any higher quality than the other? My mac has its stupid mini display port so I have to buy a converter either way. Which one should i get?

DVI has a better picture quality than VGA.
