Mv Live Performance

Post by bibo »

Hi everybody, this is my first post.
I'm going to change my Mpc1000 with an Mv8000, because of the Ram.
I use the Mpc as electronic live set with my band and i've programmed all songs with patterns, sending click to the drummer and having all keyboards, samples and special effects on the Mpc.
That's the reason why 128mb isn't enough to rule all this sounds within a live show.
My question is about Live performance in Mv:

On the Mpc i've programmed all songs with some HOLD points; this means that in a particular section of the song, the relative patterns is played on and on until i press the button that let the machine go ahead.
This is useful to make Live performance "open"...(like playing solos as long as the musician wants to do)

How can i manage this with an Mv?

I'm thinking about a Marker Loop Function on Mv or Pattern Play (that is a little unconfortable since i've to play an instrument too), but maybe there is a better way?

Thank you very much

In "song mode":
press "menu", 16 "loop" - assign loop length, exit, press play, when needed press "quick set loop", now this region will be looped.

IMO there is nothing what the MPC do, that the MV can't do (even does it better)! lol
