I recently purchased an MV8000.
After a couple of weeks of use the number 4 (JKL) button triggers repeatedly. It's not every time I use it, but getting worse.
The only changes that I have made are to install an SD card.
Does this sound like a pad issue or something to do with the board?

Re: Number 4 (JKL) button triggers repeatedly
Hi,
I appreciate that your post is from a couple if years ago but thought I'd drop a note as it may help others.
I am just about to replace my #5 tact button as it is not triggering at all. The carbon contact on the button wears out and the fix is to desolder old, solder new 2 or 4 pin tact button (sits under the plastic key pad button).
In your case it may be a bad solder joint that is connecting intermittently or the carbon contact may have fused togethet in the tact switch.
Either way replacing tact switch should work. It doesn't sound like a wider circuit board problem.
Note: Open machine at your own risk, no liability accepted for any damage you cause to the machine.
