Roland MV-8800 issues (just purchased)

Just bought my first MV-8800, but it has some issues I’m hoping you guys can assist with.

1) when booting up I get this error message “Disk error occurred press F5 to create a new project”

The hard drive seems to work fine once it has loaded in that you can copy things to it from the CD-ROM Drive etc.

2) the drive won’t connect to my windows or Mac computers over USB. The MV says connected but the drives don’t show up. In windows 10 I can see a device with MV-8800 in the device manager under disk devices but that’s it

3) it doesn’t have any of the factory content (patches, demo songs etc)

Have also done the hard drive update as per the instructions here.

Put it into diagnostic mode (menu F3) on boot and it came back with everything being ok (inc HDD/CD-ROM/Memory)

Still have the same issues.

Any assistance appreciated!
