Split pattern track to Song tracks?

Hi,

I know you can take tracks from the "song" linear sequences and "Copy as new pattern" to the pattern sequences. Can it be done the other way round?
I'm not so brilliant with the MV8800 but i did try searching for an answer.

copy as midi clip in pattern mode track by track.. paste the track pattern(s) in sequence mode assign the right instruments to tracks.

I dont use the vga right now so for me this midi copy, paste function is in the pattern edit and seq edit menus respectively. in the the vga mode they probably floating under the right mouse click.
