routing USB audio output to MFX-3

Post by sylv1 »

Hi all,

Sonic Cell enables routing USB audio output to MFX-3 (through input FX), but unfortunately it seems that we can not prevent MFX-3 output from being routed back to USB audio input, causing a feedback loop...

What I want to do is :
input (e.g. guitar) -> Computer in -> software FX -> Computer out
-> input FX -> MFX-3 -> output

What I currently have is :
input (e.g. guitar) -> Computer in -> software FX -> Computer out
-> input FX -> MFX-3 -> output + Computer in -> software FX -> etc...

Any idea to avoid getting this feedback loop?
Maybe by setting a volume to 0 somewhere ?

I assume you are in Patch mode
On the editor PATCH EFFECTS /Routing
Bottom right is a switch marked 'Computer' I take it it is in the 'Input Effect' position ?

Hi Royce,

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, my "To computer" switch is in the "Input FX" position instead of MIX.
This position prevents the output of the "master FX" to go to the computer, but the output of MFX-3 (behind inpux FX) is still connected to both output and the computer.

Is there any way to remove this connection between MFX-3 and the computer, without removing the connection between the external input and the computer ?
