Play wav sounds on keyboard

Post by Robken2000 »

Hi Everyone,

It looks like you can play a wav or sample sound on the keyboard of a FA-08 once you load them But I can't figure out how to do that. Can anyone help?

I found this vid, but it was not clear enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF-lpIeeHvU

And, is it possible to load a vst onto the Fa-08? To play on the keyboard?

Cheers

Thanks, Benny,

I can play the recorded sounds on the USB that way, but I want to be able to play my sample the way the guy is playing his sample in this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF-lpIeeHvU

Any further thought?

Cheers

That link does show you how, the problem is you can't play 'a' sample across multiple keys, you need to have multiple samples loaded, i.e. one for each key at different frequencies.

You can see this in the video for each pad is C, C#, D, D#, E samples etc. You play part 16 in studio set/sequencer view and you get those same mappings but they are also velocity sensitive too on the keyboard.

ok. the first part is covered.

moving onto playing a vst (not on, but) through the keyboard.

fa midi -> pc vst
pc audio -> fa

that is the only way I know of, other than what has been discussed.

edit: nice thing is you only need to use one (usb) cable.
