Hi, can somebody tell me please what does the term "crossover" mean in the world of synthesizers ??
Thanks.
A Crossover
Re: A Crossover
I think in the world of Roland marketing... crossover means the JD-XA is able to use both digital and analog technologies when building timbres. It's purely a marketing term.
Re: A Crossover
usually it means digital waves going through an analog filter.
this is also true for the jdxa but you can also cross-/ring mod the analog with the digital part or just run them parallel or use digital and analog filters in series.

It means you get cross over the price.

Re: A Crossover
edit: sorry i was actually talking about the term "hybrid" above.
but crossover means more or less the same. a combo of analog and digital.
and yes it's a roland marketing term.
