MKS-20 sound

Post by Xcited »

What parameters do I change on the MKS20EnsemEP (PR-A:F-08) or the SA Stacks (PR-A:026) to take off the effects to just leave a flat sound? I'm trying to get the original MKS-20 sound. I'm actually trying to arrive at the MKS-20 sound at 0:44 on this Keyscape video.

Thanks.

Press the Effects button and turn off every effect (change them all to 0).

I already had done that within the patch edit but that didn't solve it. I found the menu that will work.

Let me ask this. How do I add a new MFX effect? On some of my performances only MFX-1 will work. On others, all three will work. I want to add another. Any help?

Well, after a little investigation I figured it out. Change the MFX Struct.

Well, I have the best MKS-20 sound I can make but it just doesn't sound like the original. I figured since it was a Roland voice originally I would have the parameters to re-create it. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Also....is there a way to save and write tempo changes into a rhythm pattern?

Start with a piano / EP patch and replace its samples with the MKS-20 ones. You'll need to add effects too; default reverb and chorus settings should do the trick.
