Editing the keyboard range of a sound in a studio set

Post by Flavorkeys »

Help, I am trying to edit a certain lead sound in a studio set of my to not sound in the lowest octave and I have moved the cursor over to the little keyboard shown to the right of the sound and see I can edit lower range to show C#0 instead of the lowest C but the keyboard isn't shrinking to show it and the lead sound still sounds at bottom. What am I doing wrong? I gotta be missing something obvious???

I believe you have to turn the keyboard part on, with the little dot, then you will see the keyboard shrink to your desired size.

Yes, that sounds like it. If a part's keyboard switch is turned off then the part will still make a sound as long as that part is the currently selected part. But you can't change the range for it when it's in that state.

Yes, guys that was the trick, also you gotta spin the data wheel around a few times before it starts shrinking.
Thank you !

You can also just press the key where you want it.

Don't forget to hold SHIFT when pressing the key.
