Problem sending midi - SOLVED

Post by Crumb »

Hi,

Not sure anyones going to see this message. It's a bit dark and dusty here in the old SH-01 forum... ..there's even an echo (echo) ((echo)...

Anyway, I just bought a boutique SH-01a and I know it works as I tested it on the way home from the shop, at a friends house using his Behringer deepmind12. All we did was midi out the Behringer in to the Sh-01a. Audio out of the SH01a in to the monitor. Worked great.

Now I've got home and tried the same set up with my Gaia, but I'm not getting anything. I've checked my settings and everything seems ok. I even use my Gaia with Maschine and the midi works fine there, though in that case it's over USB.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the midi ports on the Gaia...?

Thanks!

Well I've solved the issue I think. The 'midi thru' was ON. I've turned it off and it's working now.

On the off chance anyone with the same kit has the same problem;

Hold down [cancel/shift] button and press [V link] button.
Hold down [variation] button in the Oscillator section and press [effects on/off] button in the Effects section so that it is not lit. Lit is on, not lit is off.
