Amp Sim on the audio input?

Post by stevel »

Hello all,

Is there any way to put the amp sim effect on the audio input?

I'd like to plug my guitar directly into the FA, go through the internal amp sim, and then have it mixed with the output of the FA - I see playing live guitar along with MIDI backing tracks though a powered PA speaker.

I don't think it's possible but maybe I missed something.

I think I could put it on as TFX but that's going to affect everything else in the SS as well.

What about as IFX?

I may just have to use some external Amp sim pedal...

this will be possible if you set "TFX Loc" to INPUT (instead of MAIN).
In the EFFECTS EDIT page down right in the corner.

This will route TFX from audio input to the Mic Reverb and then to the main bus.

Oops, sorry Benny I was mistaken - actually the TFX doesn't inlcude the Amp Sim.

It's available on MFX and IFX - but I don't think I can get either of them in line with the Audio Input.
