Re: Get SonicCell or SD-50 Sound Canvas?
<t>I use Biab all the time with the SC. The only problem for me are the Roland GM drums if you're talking about just using it in GM mode. They still suck. It's the same old GM drums soundfile they've been using since the VSC, the Hypercanvas and the TTS-1. You may like them, I don't. I don't know if...

Re: Trouble playing some midifiles
<t>Did you find these files on the internet? If so, there's likely something embedded in the file like sysex or some other controllers that are messing up your SC. In other words, this is nothing to do with your SC, it's the files themselves. Put those files in a sequencer and look at the event list...

Re: Net books w/ Sonic Cell
<t>The question is not will it work with a Sonic Cell, it's will it run the software that uses the SC for sound. The SC will plug into the USB port no problem. If you're playing midi files and you're using the SC for sound, look at the software midi file player and see if it will run on that netbook...

Re: changin sonic cell default
<t>Hi Billy, unfortunately this gets pretty much everybody who works with midi files. You search the internet, find hundreds or in your case thousands of pretty decent files for free and think wow, hook these up to a good synth and I'm all set. Wrong. Those downloaded files are all GM. Different man...

Re: Fix VST integration with Cubase 5
<t>I have to agree as well. I mostly use Real Band by PG Music, the Band in a Box people. It's a decent VST host but when I try to open the SC editor it gives me the SC splash screen but then an error box pops up saying "not a valid vst dll". I was really looking forward to using my SC like a softwa...

Re: Problem converting Midi to Audio
<t>Yeah, this is another thing that can confuse people. If you're using a software synth like Sampletank or Kontatk your sequencer can do a fast render. The audio never has to leave your PC, it's all done inside the software. A 4 minute song can get rendered in 15-20 seconds or so but as Avogra said...

Re: M-audio Axiom 61 with SonicCell
<t>This is basically the same question you asked in your other thread about how to change sounds when you're playing live. The Axiom is exactly what you need. It's a master controller and all of the sliders, rotary knobs and buttons are designed to control your SC. There may be a configuration setup...

Re: Midi file from Band-in-a-box doesn't play a drum sound i
<t>Biab creates everything using the GM standard. Make sure that you are using the correct GM drum kit in your SC. I think there are 11 GM drum kits and you can go into Biab to see which one it used. If you are using one of the SC's Roland soundbanks, not the GM soundbank try changing the kit. I don...
