Re: How to change the LCD and touch-panel of a V-Synth GT:
Just another data-point to add to the thread for the GT: My V-Synth GT was also acting up: The touchscreen was unresponsive and/or missed its target (the display itself was fine). With a LOT of trying, I finally was able to access the calibration-screen. Calibrated, but still unresponsive or missing...

Re: New aftertouch range
I only received my Fantom-7 a few weeks ago and just updated to 2.00 Sunday afternoon, 20 September 2020. I read the release notes on the update portion of the Roland US site where it said, “improved aftertouch sensitivity.” By Monday, 21 September, this statement no longer appeared and I assume had...

Re: Always Wanted Fantom G....Does New Fantom Stand Up?
The new Fantom's sounds, UI/UX are excellent. However, it lacks all of the linear recording capability of the Fantom-G (no 24-track digital audio recorder to RAM).

Re: MX-1 has to go, the sound quality doesn't cut it!
I just noticed the exact same thing with my (2019) Fantom-7! I have the F7 connected via USB to the Aira Link port 1 on the MX-1, then the MX-1's S/PDIF-out to my Roland M-1000 digital line-mixer. Then I take an S/PDIF-out from the M-1000 which goes into the S/PDIF input on my Komplete Audio MkII, t...

Re: Fantom-7 (2019) MIDI-output suddenly absent!
Thanks for your reply. I tried doing this on zone 1 and zone 16. Only zone 1 works but plays only one part of the Fantom's internal sounds. Not sure what else I could be doing wrong. I set MIDI-recieve channels to both "all" and "16" (when attempting to set the external control o...

Re: Fantom-7 (2019) MIDI-output suddenly absent!
Haven't changed a thing. By the way, I had no problems on 1.10. I am now on 1.60. Here's my settings: Fantom plays all parts; NO external MIDI sound: SELECT BUTTON 1 = "ON" [LIT] PART BUTTON 1 = "ON" RED [LIT] Fantom plays only ONE part from a factory scene; external MIDI instrum...

Re: Fantom-7 (2019) MIDI-output suddenly absent!
Hmmm . . . I pressed the top "SELECT" button and I can hear the external device, but now it only plays one part from the Fantom factory scene.

Fantom-7 (2019) MIDI-output suddenly absent!
Fantom-7 (2019) MIDI-output suddenly absent! So I have a brand new Fantom-7 delivered two days ago, August 2020. Its MIDI-OUT 1 port was connected to a MIDI Solutions T8 MIDI-thru box via five-pin DIN. Last night, it was sending MIDI note-data fine. Turned it on this morning—nothing. Cannot send any...

Re: Do you think they will release a Fantom Module?
No. For the same reasons there is only an XR (i.e., no 'XR-G'), and a Yamaha XS (it would cannibalize sales of the keyboard versions).

Re: Brand new JD-XAs scratched?
Thanks for your reply, cello! Yes, I know—I was very surprised to see such obvious damage since in my experience Japanese QA tends to be flawless (e.g., Nikon, Yamaha, Roland, etc.). The box was clearly factory-sealed with no apparent damage/re-sealing of the original packing tape—all shipping label...

Re: Disabling the sequencer from starting
I had a JD-XA for three days (I just sent it back today because it was scratched). I think I noticed the same issue you're having (if I understand you correctly, which I may not be). Surprisingly, the most well-behaved keyboard I have is the Yamaha Montage—everything MIDI-wise works as you'd expect....

Brand new JD-XAs scratched?
I just bought a brand new JD-XA from a reputable dealer. The box was factory-sealed. When I opened it, there were about four areas affected by fine scratches on the plastic main-panel. About 50 micro-scratches and a greasy fingerprint right next to the mod-wheel (below), and a matching set on the ri...

Re: Slaving JD-XA to Apple Logic Pro X' MIDI clock:
Note that while buying an MX1 seems an unnecessary added expense, at least it enables the JD-XA's signal to be digitally routed via the MX1's single S/PDIF port, should Roland discontinue its USB-driver support for the JD-XA for future macOS releases. (This assumes that the "vendor" driver...

Re: Slaving JD-XA to Apple Logic's MIDI clock:
Here, I've re-posted a comment from another user: I found this older post which alludes to the problem I was suspecting may be the case about the arps not working when using an external MIDI-clock: Theres no doubt the JDXA is a technical sound mastery ... with all the new patches that keep appearing...
