Re: VA synth in the Fantom G?
The solo synth is the same as it was on the X, 2 osc VA synth that cna only be controlled by the D-Beam. Offers only Saw or Square waves if I recall correctly.

Re: Importing Midi Files into the Fantom
Either via Card or USB file storage, drag and drop the MIDI file into your Fantoms SEQ-> SNG -> folder
Press the save/load button, load song, choose the right file, and there it is.

Re: Van Halen jump patch??
Although the Jump for KY patch is alright, I find it much more effective to tweak and combine the waveforms from that patch, and the "slowsupersaw" patch, cant remember the exact name.

Re: Juno G - USB Noise
When I had this problem it was the power supply of the PC causing it. If it's a laptop, unplug the power. If not, try a different comp.

Re: "Live Setting Play" mode recalling sound
I dont think there is any way to switch from a patch to a performance or vice versa without the sound cutting out. Maybe put the patches you need into performances, and put those as well as the pre-existing performances you need onto a PC card and just use that bank instead of live mode?

Slowest processor for DAW use?
I have a chance to get a new system for really really cheap but it only has a 1.6ghz Intel Dual Core processor. Will this be fast enough to run say, Sonar 7, Akoustik Piano, etc? If not I can always install a better processor but I'd rather not. Thanks.

Re: Which Microphone to use for LIVE singing ?
<t>I've also found the gain/inputs on the Fantom entirely unsuitable for microphones. Not only do you have to set it to the highest gain setting, you also can need another +10dB at least from a compressor/limiter etc. By this time, unless you have a 100% noise free environment, your noise floor will...

Because something new and improved is needed to compete with the Motif XS, M3, Kurzweil PC3, and the onslaught of people switching to computer based setups.

Re: Same patch in all tracks while recording a song
<t>Go to performance mode and go to prst - 01. It should have piano mapped to every part. On the main performance screen, you should automatically be on "part 1". Click the Patch List tab, and choose whatever sound you want. Once done, move with the conroll arrow down to part 2, and choose what part...

An audio example could help a fair margin if you can procure one.
EDIT: Also make sure that on the output effect tab both the MFX, Chorus, and Reverb sends are at 127.
